Daniel greeted the Late Tackle team with a joke about how his wife is putting him to work, seeing as though he has more free time.

Jokes aside, the 2013 Currie Cup-winning captain has already lined up employment outside of the game but remains unsure about he will remain involved in the game. However, he does feel that needs to give back to the club scene.

Daniel is one of the few Sharks players to have had the proud honour of playing 100 games for one franchise in both Super Rugby and Currie Cup, and also bagged five Springbok caps in a stellar career.
