The Crusaders' Joe Moody and Owen Franks received two-week bans in successive weeks for the same offence – cheap shots to the head of an opponent. Such an intentional act of foul play saw them get off lightly simply because of their immediate admission of guilt as well as their disciplinary record.

However, what would deter such acts going forward is imposing a monetary fine to the players depending on the severity of the action.
