In recent weeks, sanctions have taken up much of the Super Rugby headlines as some bizarre bans were handed out.

The Stormers’ Raymond Rhule was handed a three-week for contravening Law 9.25, JJ Engelbrecht copped a one-week ban for contravening 6.1 of SANZAAR’s disciplinary rules while Brumbies hooker Folau Fainga’a received a one-week suspension for a headbutt.
