OPINION: You asked for it and here it is – the readers’ choices for the South African Team of the Week after Super Rugby Round Six.

In some positions the outcome was interesting, but two players proved to be the most popular – by some distance.

Lions hooker Malcolm Marx (with 85 percent) and Stormers flank Pieter-Steph du Toit (81 percent) topped the charts.

At outside centre there was a tie – Bulls midfielder Jessie Kriel and Sharks No.13 Lukhanyo Am, both with 37 percent.

Ironically they will go head-to-head in a Round Seven clash in Durban this coming Saturday.
