Player Ratings: Annihilated

Numerous handling errors, poor tactical kicking and failing to make their tackles saw them concede six tries. To make matters worse, they had a number of players limp off the field with various injuries.

Tauriq Ebrahim rates the Australian players!

15 Israel Folau

Did all that he could when he got the chance but was unable to make a massive impact on the game.

14 Adam Ashley-Cooper

His ineffectiveness on attack was matched by his poor defence.

13 Tevita Kuridrani

Some strong carries but stood up to the defensive challenge throughout the game.

12 Matt Giteau

Hobbled off the field on 11 minutes with an ankle injury. Not enough time to be rated.

11 Dane Haylett-Petty

Would need to watch his back as he was shown up on defence.

10 Bernard Foley

Carried his poor form from the June Internationals into this encounter.

9 Will Genia

He was quite simply way off the pace.

8 David Pocock

His performance was similar to the story of Samson after his hair was cut.

7 Michael Hooper

Attempted to get his side on the front foot but his defensive effort stood out.

6 Ben McCalman

Disciplined at the breakdowns but ineffective as he was up against it from the start.

5 Rob Simmons

Forced into defensive mode and gave a pleasing account of himself which saw him miss just one tackle.

4 Kane Douglas

Slipped way too may tackles and offered nothing on attack.

3 Sekope Kepu

Offered nothing on attack and came across as average on defence.

2 Stephen Moore

Had a few line-out throws picked off and his leadership left much to be desired.

1 Scott Sio

Not his best outing but not his worst either. His carries were snubbed and slipped a few tackles.

16 Tatafu Polota-Nau (on for Moore, 62nd min)

Hid himself away during general play.

17 James Slipper (on for Sio, 50th min)

Barely saw the ball and had no real impact.

18 Allan Alaalatoa (on for Kepu, 54th min)

His international career can only get better from here.

19 Dean Mumm (on for Simmons, 49th min)

Had a few strong carries but could not do anything to stem the flow.

20 Scott Fardy (on for McCalman, 61st min)

It's tough to get onto the field when your team is going backwards and he failed to make any difference.

21 Nick Phipps (on for Horne, 39th min)

Took his place on the wing and brought a different dimension to the Wallabies' attack.

22 Matt Toomua (on for Giteau, 11th min)

Came on as an early replacement but vacated the field soon after taking a head knock.

23 Rob Horne (on for Toomua, 30th min)

Another replacement who had his night cut short after suffering an injury. Not enough time to be rated.
