The Lions have seven players in our selection – three more than the Blue Bulls who have four players represented

Team of the Week: Running wildThe Free State Cheetahs have two players in our selection, while the Griquas and Pumas are represented with one player each.

Andries Coetzee, Travis Ismaiel and Anthony Volmink make up the back three, with Jacques Nel and Rohan Janse van Rensburg in the midfield.

Elgar Watts and Ross Cronje are our choices at No.10 and No.9 respectively.

In the pack, we have Renaldo Bothma, Roelof Smit and Albertus Smith in the back row. The second row consists of Reniel Hugo and Rudolph Snyman.

Tom Botha, Robbie Coetzee and Lizo Gqoboka make up our front row.

15 – Andries Coetzee (Golden Lions)

He was quite excellent with ball in hand against Western Province. He scored a try and had a big hand in another.

14 – Travis Ismaiel (Blue Bulls)

He broke through the Pumas defence on a few occasions and was a constant threat whenever the ball came is way. The wing also got his name on the scoresheet.

13 – Jacques Nel (Golden Lions)

Western Province struggled to contain this speedy centre. He tore the Cape side's defence to pieces on a number of times and scored a try as well.

Team of the Week: Running wild12 – Rohan Janse van Rensburg (Golden Lions)

His defensive effort was not that good, but he made up for it on attack. He got over the advantage line almost every time he had the ball.

11 – Anthony Volmink (Golden Lions)

He had a field day with ball in hand against Western Province. He was involved in a few of his team's tries and scored one himself.

10 – Elgar Watts (Griquas)

The pivot gave his outside backs some great direction – he scored two tries and had a big hand in two others as well.

9 – Ross Cronje (Golden Lions)

His distribution was exceptional and he also made a few fantastic runs against Western Province.

8 – Renaldo Bothma (Pumas)

He gave his all in a losing effort against the Blue Bulls. He carried the ball aggressively and played a big part in his team's only try.

7 – Roelof Smit (Blue Bulls)

Made a whopping six turnovers when he came on the field. He was also solid as a rock on defence.

6 – Albertus Smith (Golden Lions)

He was probably the best player this weekend. He made some of the Western Province players look like amateurs with his speed, strength and stepping. He also scored two tries and contributed in two others.

5 – Reniel Hugo (Free State Cheetahs)

He tackled his heart out against the Sharks and gave his team some quality ball at line-out time.

4 – Rudolph Snyman (Blue Bulls)

The big lock had a fantastic all-round game against the Pumas. He was a star in the line-outs and won a number of turnover ball for his team. He also made a few strong carries as well.

Team of the Week: Running wild3 – Tom Botha (Free State Cheetahs)

He was an integral part of a Free State Cheetahs' scrum that dominated the Sharks at Kings Park.

2 – Robbie Coetzee (Golden Lions)

He did a lot of good work with ball in hand against Western Province. He was also one of the many Lions' try scorers as well.

1 – Lizo Gqoboka (Blue Bulls)

He was solid in the scrums, but it was his contribution in open play that caught the eye. He carried the ball with intent and made a few clean breaks as well.
