KZN choose U18 teams

Glenwood make a huge contribution to the two KwaZulu-Natal Under-18 teams for the national weeks in July. In all they have 14 players in the teams for Craven Week and the Academy Week.

Craven Week: 13-18 July 2015 at Paul Roos in Stellenbosch

Academy Week: 6-9 July 2014 at Isak Steyl Stadium in Vanderbijlpark

In the Craven Week side there are seven from Glenwood, six from Michaelhouse, two each from Hilton, Kearsney, Maritzburg College and Westville and one from Pionier of Vryheid.

 

There are three back from the 2014 KwaZulu-Natal Craven Week side – wings Xolisa Guma and Ilunga Mukendi and flank/lock Tristan Dixon. Kudzaishe Munangi, Bader Pretorius, Donovan du Randt, Marco Palvie and Sibabalo Qoma were at the Academy Week in 2014. Flyhalf Jerome Bossr was at the Grant Khomo Week in 2014 but for Border for he was then at Selborne before moving to Glenwood, much to Selborne's chagrin. Hooker Hendrik Prinsloo was in the KwaZulu-Natal Grant Khomo team in 2014.

Glenwood also have seven players in the Academy Week side, followed by Westville with six, Michaelhouse and DHS with two each and one each for Clifton,   Kearsney, Kloof, Maritzburg College and St Charles.

Jaydon Morgan was in the KwaZulu-Natal Academy Week squad last year as well. Wing Tonny Mahlangu was at Grant Khomo Week in 2014, as were Sibonakaliso Dubazane and Lindelwe Cele.
