Alexandria captain: Flinn Cannon

Flinn Cannon is hoping his young Alexandria High side show enough maturity to overcome Port Alfred rivals Ukhanyo in their FNB Classic Clash this weekend.

The explosive fullback knows that Ukhanyo will pose a serious threat, but believes that if every player gives his best and plays for the team then they will prevail.

Cannon says that it is a great honour to lead the Alexandria High, and hopes to do his school proud against Ukhanyo.

"It is the first time that I have been elected as captain, so it is a grat honour. It has been a learning experience and we hope to get better as the season progresses," he said.

He said that Ukhanyo will be tough opponents, which means his team will have to be on top of their game.

"We expect a hard, tough match. It is going to take blood sweat and tears but we will do it for our school and for our community.

"I will ensure that every player gives of his best and plays for the team. The pain of discipline is nothing like the pain of disappointment," he added.
