Bishops are going to Paul Roos
Bishops will after all be attending the Paul Roos Rugby Day on 28 March 2015.
The day is part of Paul Roos's 150th Birthday celebrations.
Initially Bishops were investigating the possibility of touring overseas but instead have settled on a trip to Stellenbosch and a match against Hoërskool Outeniqua of George, one of a mouthwatering fixture list for the day.
It is fitting that Bishops should be there as their ancestors played Paul Roos's ancestors in 1876 if not before. The match is an ancient one.
Apart from Western Province schools (SACS, Rondebosch, Boland Landbou, Paarl Gimnasium and Boys' High, Bishops and hosts Paul Roos), there will be teams from Boland (Hermanus, Hugenote of Wellington and Worcester Gymnasium), South Western Districts (Oakdale of Riversdale and Outeniqua), Limpopo (Pietersburg), Kimberley (Diamantveld) and Pretoria (Affies).
Six of the schools ended on the final FNB Top 20 for 2014 – Paul Roos, Paarl Gim, Paarl Boys' High, Outeniqua, Oakdale and Affies.
