Boishaai into the Final

Paarl Boys' High booked their place in the final of the SANIX World Rugby Youth Tournament being played in Fukuoka, Japan, when they beat Lycée Louis de Foix of France 33-5 in Sunday's semifinal.

They will play Hamilton Boys' High, winners in 2010 and 2011 in Monday's Final.

It was a cold, overcast day as the organisers played Johnny Clegg's Impi to great Boys' High as they ran out onto the field, but the French side were first to score, not long after Boys' High had kicked off and were penalised.

Louis de Foix went into a 5-0 lead but then Boys' High scored six tries, the first four converted. They led 14-5 at half-time.

The early pressure in the game came fro Louis de Foix as Boys' High were repeatedly penalised but when they got into the Lycée 22, they were penalised and Curtley Grain scored and the Paarlites led 7-5. They increased the lead when they mauled from an attacking line-out and prop Derrick Marais scored a try which was again converted. 14-5.

A long maul by Boys' High produced another penalty and a try for Philip Bester. 21-5. It was again a maul from a line-out that led to a try for Wikus Botha whose second try took the score to 33-5. A five-metre line-out became a five-metre scrum from which Curtley Grain scored his second try.
