Brackenfell captain - Kabous Voges

Kabous Voges has plenty of experience behind him having played 40 games for the First team, but even as an old head, he is still excited about the upcoming Classic Clash.

Voges started life out as a No.8 before moving to the front row but he has been able to carry through some of his loose forward skills with him.

"My ability to carry the ball is probably my biggest skill," Bous, as he is affectionately known, said ahead of the Classic Clash with Tygerberg.

"It is something that has come from years of playing at No.8 before moving to prop."

"On the captaincy side of things, I believe I am a good motivator as I am always trying to get the guys going."

It has been a tough run of games for the Brakke in the last four years having struggled against their upcoming rivals.

Voges knows that this year will be no different and is expecting a physical game from them.

"It is the fifth Classic Clash between the two schools," the captain said.

"We have never been on the winning side, but we feel quietly confident that we can turn things around this year.

"I think that it will be a hard very physical game.

"We also know that they like to throw the ball around and we are well prepared to counter them in that department."

Luckily for the Brakke they have got their best possible side and a large majority of them are very experienced.

"It is a good balance between experience and younger players," he continued.

"There are 11 of us are in Grade 12.  We are at full strength for the first time in the last five matches."
