Captain's profile: Akho Tshoba

Itembelihle skipper Akho Tshoba will bo looking to control matters at flyhalf in the Classic Clash against Ndzondelelo on Thursday.

Tshoba is an experienced playmaker in his third year in the first team and the Grade 11 is hoping to steer his team to victory over their rivals in the township battle.

However, he knows that his team will have to be on top of their game if they are to get the better of what is always a competitive Ndzondelelo side.

"It is not going to be easy, we need to focus on our structure because it is always tough against them," he said.

The Itembelihle captain said that his team learned a lot on their recent tour to Cape Town, coming unstuck against a well-drilled Jan van Riebeek side.

They will be looking to show what they learned on the road when they face Ndzondelelo, and Tshoba added that his side would do well to stick to the gameplan that their coach Theo Pieterse has laid out for them.

"He is a good coach and puts a lot into the team, so we need to focus and listen to what he wants in order to win," he said.

Itembelihle are known for their exciting backline, with Tshoba the key man, and he expects Ndzondelelo to attack his side up front in the forwards.

"Their backline will not get past us, but they have strong forwards so we need to be careful," he said.
