Brummer's Glenwood face the task of travelling to Durban High School to uphold a very strong tradition of dominance – retaining the annual Classic Clash crown against the old enemy.

Glenwood would have found themselves much higher up on the Top 20 list – currently ranked fifth – but due to their international commitments, have only managed to play nine matches on home soil. They have won all nine matches.

"It has been a real blessing to be unbeaten thus far and winning the Youth World Tournament [earlier this year] has to be the highlight of it all. We know that all that will count for nothing in this Classic Clash because, in the past, the matches against DHS have always been tough.

"The match is usually played at a fast pace and is highly physical. Fortunately for us though, we have not lost to them since I have been attending Glenwood. The match itself will be fast as they will look to keep the ball alive and try to get behind our defensive lines.

"The make up of our team will be relatively full strength as we have just one major injury to our first choice flyhalf after he broke his hand. However, we have enough depth to fill that vacancy and field a very strong team," Brummer said.

Brummer has a special message for his team mates ahead of this special clash.

"You are only as good as your last game. We have a big task on our hands and no doubt the team who wants it more on the day will come away with the win. We need to focus on a producing a good team performance and the scoreboard will take care of itself.

"As a captain, I feel that I have the responsibility of growing the bonds between all the team mates. I put a huge amount of passion into everything that I do and I think that has allowed me to an extremely hard worker and effective communicator," he added.

The next time we will be seeing the 18-year-old flank, who is in his second year of representing Glenwood's first XV, will be when he dons the black and white colours of KwaZulu-Natal in the 2016 Craven Week.
