Captain's profile: Broge Ré

Driehoek captain Broge Ré will be taking nothing for granted when his team host Dr Malan in an FNB Classic Clash this weekend.

Although Driehoek have won the last two Classic Clashes between the school, the big 98 kg prop does not expect an easy game against their rivals.

"The wolf on top of the mountain isn’t as hungry as those wolves climbing the mountain," he said.

Ré's team are in a good position, having won nine out of their 13 games thus far this season, unbeaten in the Falcons league after three matches.

He also leads a full strength team this weekend as they look to extend their dominance over Dr Malan in front of their home crowd.

"I told every player go out and enjoy themselves, but give maximum effort and be solid in attack and defence," he said.

The Driehoek captain, who represented the Falcons at Reitz week last year, intends to 'keep on playing rugby for years to come and to follow a career in rugby'.

The big prop seeks to 'lead by example on the field and to work hard with the rest of the team' and will certainly do so on Saturday in the big FNB Classic Clash.
