Captain's profile: Johann Joubert
The 18-year-old knows they will be in for a tough task as Grey Bloem has been a dominant force on their home ground, despite Paul Roos heading into the match holding the bragging rights following their 2015 Classic Clash win.
"We beat them last year [2015] but they have a very good record on their home field in recent years. As always, we expect the match to be very physical and fast paced," Joubert said.
The flank feels huge honour in captaining the team in his debut, and only, season in the first XV.
"Making the Paul Roos first XV and being named captain has definitely been the highlight of my career thus far. I ensure that I set the standard by setting an example for the rest of the team to follow. It is an honour to lead this team and the school and it makes me want to give my all each week.
"As a captain, I think my strength is to keep players calm and help them re-focus when things are not going our way and as a player, I feel that my fitness levels and agility sets me apart," he added.
The teams are separated by four places on the Top 20, as the travelling Paul Roos occupy seventh spot while hosts Grey College are up in third.
"We have performed better than most people expected. There were some games that we lost simply because we lost focus on the job at hand. For this match, we will be without three players who are on SA Schools duty while we also have some players who will be playing in new positions," he added.
Joubert would like his team to simply believe in themselves because if they do, they will be able to beat anyone.
Looking towards 2017, Joubert will be studying engineering at the University of Stellenbosch and is also hopeful of playing Koshuis rugby.
