Captain's profile: Matthys Theron
That demeanour, along with his ability to keep his team mates fully focussed on the task at hand, will come in handy as they look to maintain their steady improvement in a season that has not seen them reach their full potential just yet.
"We are yet to play to our full potential but we have the feeling that our season is about to change and that we will continue improving the way we have been. It is a real honour to be named captain of the school's first XV because we have a relatively senior group of players.
"We have had to endure a few injuries but most of the first choice players are ready and looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead," Theron said.
The 18-year-old scrumhalf is in his second year of representing the first XV and knows exactly how big this match is.
"This fixture [against Jim Fouche] is always a massive one and the results reflects it. Over the past few years, there has not been much to separate the teams and I think this game will be no different.
"We were victorious in the 2015 Classic Clash but we see ourselves as the underdogs this year and that makes us more dangerous. We know Jim Fouche are going to put everything they have into this game because they would want to beat us on our home ground," he added.
One thing an underdog team needs is a motivational captain and Sentraal certainly has that in Theron.
"As a captain, I want to be a role model to my team mates and to the other teams at Sentraal. However, I can only achieve that by putting in a lot of hard work and showing everyone what needs to be done in order to achieve positive results.
"Going into this game, we need to give it our all. For most of us, it will be our last Classic Clash and we need to ensure that we put in the effort and performance that will be remembered, not only by us, but by everyone who attends the game," he stated.
While rugby might be his passion, Theron will be heavily concentrating on his academics in 2017 and will, in all probability, only be involved in a handful of matches.
