Captain's profile: Mziwakhe Mjacu

Mziwakhe Mjacu will lead from the front when Ndzondelelo face Itembelihle in their Classic Clash in Zwide township on Thursday.

The combative hooker knows exactly what the big derby game is all about having played in two already, and the Ndzondelelo captain is expecting a festive atmosphere when the two teams do battle.

Mjacu has captained all of the age-group teams through his time at Ndzondelelo, so he knows exactly what it takes to lead the side when the pressure is on against their rivals.

"He said that leading the team in a FNB Classic Clash has always been a dream of his, and hopes to inspire his forward pack to dominate the game on Thursday.

"The forwards hold the key for us, but I trust my team. We are well prepared and can't wait to get onto the field," he said.

Although Ndzondelelo have lost one of their league games this year, Mjacu is confident that they have what it taes to rise to the occasion in the big derby.

"My message to the team this week has been to stay strong and don't be afraid of anything.

"We will get great support at the ground so now we must just go out there and perform," he said.
