This may be Cedras' first season in the first XV jersey but he has already developed a great understanding of what it is to be a leader.

"It is an honour to be named captain of the first XV, especially since this is my first year in the first XV. Being named captain is exiting and a huge responsibility.

"You have to adjust your role as a player and leader. My captain's philosophy is all about the importance of motivation and exemplary behaviour. I always strive to instil that, not only on my teams but on myself as well," he said.

When it comes to the Classic Clash, history have not been kind to the Pacaltsdorp side. George have dominated in recent years and will be keen to keep that rich history intact. Nonetheless the hooker is hopeful that his team can overcome the odds and secure a rare win at home.

"Heading into this match there are some nerves, giving George's dominance and our average season thus far does add a little bit more pressure on us. But then again, the Classic Clash is always something to look forward to. It is all about bragging rights and I hope that motivates the guys.

"After all, we are the hosts and will be fielding an experienced team which will give us some sort of advantage. I expect a tight, physical match but we should just focus on our game plan and we will succeed," he added.

The 17-year-old's plan is to attend the University of Stellenbosch in 2017.
