Captain's Profile: Siboniso Ndlovu

Treverton will host the 2017 edition and not only are the two schools contesting for the Classic Clash win, they will be playing for the Dowker Trophy, donated by a father and a son – the father a Weston Old Boy, the son a Treverton Old Boy.

the last time Treverton won a Classic Clash was in 2014 and with a fairly average season thus far, the hosts head into this encounter as the underdogs.

However, the skipper Ndlovu is adamant that if his side is resilient they will pull off a great upset.

"This Saturday we will be fielding a balanced side. In the last five years, Weston have been dominating by winning three of the five matches played.

"And I know it is not going to be any different come Saturday, they are a strong team with fast backs and solid defence.

"We head into this match fully aware of their skills, however, I think this is a great opportunity to change our season's fortunes.

"We have to work together as a unit and refuse to give up. It is about playing the whole 60 minutes," he added.

The No.8 is a strong ball carrier and have the ability to read the game really well, which is going to vital for his side's success against Landboudal.

Ndlovu's future plans are to continue playing rugby and hopefully represent the Sharks in the future.
