College captain - Daryn Goodson
Daryn Goodson is used to high intensity, pressure rugby having already played Grant Khomo week and being named captain of a school with a rich history.
The big No.8 stands in at 1.84 metres and weighs a substantial 90 kg, he is renowned for his work-rate, speed and power.
Like any good captain Goodson is one that leads from the front and a person who enjoys the extra responsibility of leadership.
College is a school with a rich rugby tradition, and this is not something that has slipped by the captain.
"It was an honour to captain my schools 1st team," he said.
"I know how much tradition there is behind our jersey and badge.
College have had a fairly decent season so far with only one real disappointing loss, the captain puts down this good performance to the balance within the team.
"We have a nice balanced side that is made up of mainly senior players who have a years experience under the belt," he added.
"We are missing one or two guys but we have strength in depth this season so the team has not been weakened too much."
When asked about their FNB Classic Clash with Hilton College and what they were expecting Goodson was candid.
"They always play with a lot of passion and really put their bodies on the line. We expect a tough, physical battle," he said.
His message has been a simple one this week.
"Stick to the basics and play for each other. If each guy gives his all the result will take care of itself," the captain concluded.
