Day 1 of Coastal Tournament

In the Under-18 Craven Week section of the Southern Coastal tournament at Langenhoven Gim in Oudtshoorn, Eastern Province and South Western Districts beat Boland and Western Province.

At the Craven Week of 2014, Eastern Province won the main match  when they beat South Western Districts 25-7. In the Wednesday match, South Western Districts beat Western Province 38-23. At this tournament South Western Districts goaled  a penalty in the dying minutes of the match  to beat Western Province 24-023. The goal-kicker was Manie Libbok, the South Western Districts centre. Each side scored three tries – Renaldo Ferreira 2 and Manie Libbok for South Western Districts and Nico Leonard, big Ruben de Villiers and Johan Visser for Western Province.

In the other match Eastern Province beat Boland 34-21. Curwin Bosch, the talented Eastern Province flyhalf who played for SA Schools in 2014, scored 14 points for his side with four conversions and two penalty goals. Eastern Province scored four tries to Boland's two.

The four participating provinces also had their Academy Week, Grant Khomo Week and Under-13 Craven Weeks at the tournament.
