Muir's poor decision making and a sloppy pass provided Despatch an opportunity to intercept and score. They took the lead with a converted try, 7-0.

Despatch further extended their first half lead with a penalty kick, 10-0.

The visitors were in search of that second try, Muir's defense was found wanting and Despatch's efforts were rewarded as they crossed the chalk, 15-0.

However, the hosts answered back just before the break thanks to flanker Ntsika Fisanti who forced his way over the line to dot down next to the uprights. Centre Neo Pepeta kicked the conversion to narrow the deficit.

The second half was riddled with handling mistakes resulting in a stop-start game and neither team was able to gain momentum.

Both teams defended well and neither team crossed the try line.

The Muir side could not capitalise on possession and many opportunities went astray.

Despatch put the only points on the board in the second half through a penalty kick with secured them the win, 18-7 the final score.
