DHS captain - Kwanda Ngidi

Kwanda Ngidi's DHS team has been under their FNB Classic Clash rival Glenwood's thumb in recent history, but he hopes this weekends match will be the catalyst for their season.

The scrumhalf Ngidi know his team are not where they should be at this early stage of the season and is really looking for his team to front up and believe against Glenwood this weekend.

His highlight of the season so far though has been his selection as the captain as the first team

"It is a great honour and privilege to lead and play for my team mates," he said.

"I am the type of person that likes to lead by example, so to be chosen as the captain makes me believe that what I am doing on and off the field is right.

"Glenwood is a tough team with really good players, I have asked my team to simply believe as we try to change the recent history by beating them."

The DHS team has a good balance of youth and experience and Ngidi is grateful that they have a full strength squad for this crunch match.

"It is a well balanced team, we have some youngsters and some guys in their second year of first team – thankfully all our key players are fit," he added.

Ngidi is hopeful that he will make the Craven week side this year as well as sign for one of the provincial unions.
