Drostdy captain - Willem Augustyn
Willem Augustyn feels his team are slight favourites going into the FNB Classic Clash with Worcester Gymnasium even though the two have had mixed results in the past.
Drostdy's season has been a fair one in Augustyn's opinion but he believes they are over a slow start and that the team should do well the rest of the season.
Augustyn is a captain who leads by example and although he is calm and collected he is also dedicated both on and off the field.
The captain does not believe in leaving the job to anyone else and this comes though in his own style of play.
"It is not about waiting on anybody else, but to step up, do the job and make the difference yourself," he said.
"I feel honoured to lead the 2014 team and truly enjoy playing with this specific group."
Augustyn, part of the Under 18 Boland Elite training group, is aware that this weekends match against Worcester Gymnasium will not be a walk in the park.
"The team for the FNB Classic Clashes should be on full strength. We have a good blend of experienced players and younger guys. Looking forward to this match," he added.
"A derby like this is always hard and competitive – 2014 will be no exception.
"Drostdy might be slight favourites – we drew 15-15 all in 2012 and won 31-10 in 2013."
Augustyn is focused on his studies and hopes to further his education at university, but he would also like to pursue a career in rugby.
