Drostdy win Worcester Classic

Drostdy scored three tries to none and beat Worcester Gimnasium 20-12 in their FNB Classic Clash at Trappespark on Saturday. The home side won but found the going tough.

The going was tough because they have had such a successful group at age-group level whereas Worcester Gim had only three players back and were mainly from last year's Under-16 team.

Drostdy were bigger and had expected to dominate at forward but the Gim side stood up well in the scrums, did well in the line-outs and were probably better at loose forward.

Drostdy led 12-3 at the break, thanks to two tries. But Worcester Gim actually won the second half 9-8,

Worcester Gim may just have enjoyed the match, even in defeat, more than Drostdy did in victory.
