Final schoolboy rankings for 2025

THE ULTIMATE LIST: After overwhelming public demand insisting that the final rankings be released only after August 30, we’ve decided to publish them this weekend instead.

We must admit that releasing the rankings earlier would have been a mistake.

How could we finalise them before the Noordvaal Cup Final and the two important Western Cape derbies?

Wynberg certainly saved their best for last, proving why they deserve a spot in the Top 10 with two strong performances against their arch-rivals, Rondebosch and SACS.

Up north, in the Noordvaal Cup Final, the Garsfontein ‘Bere’ claimed a well-deserved 30–19 victory over Helpmekaar, securing their fifth piece of the famous silverware in the competition, formerly known as the Administrators Cup.

South Africa is truly blessed with incredible talent and continues to provide one of the best platforms for future professional players.

A heartfelt thank you to all the players, parents, grandparents, and passionate supporters who kept the spirit of SA schoolboy rugby alive throughout the year!
