Florida captain - Rudolf Koekemoer

Big Florida captain Rudolf Koekemoer is planning to lead from the front as his school look to continue their dominance over Marais Viljoen this weekend.

Florida have won the last four Classic clashes between the side's, but Koekemoer knows that his side will have to be on top of their game if they are to continue that streak on Saturday.

The 120kg prop who stands 1.83m tall played for the Lions Academy side when he was Under-16, and with two years first team experience under his belt he knows just what to expect From Marais Viljoen.

"As captain I try to lead by example and inspire others. I play for the love of the game and that means that leading the side is easier," he said.

Florida have not had things all their own way, but they have shown steady improvement which has Koekemoer feeling positive ahead of the Classic Clash.

"It has not been the best of season's so far but it has looked more promising as it has gone on. We have a full strength team so this should be a good match-up," he said.

The big front row forward wants to make it as a professional rugby player after school, but this week his focus has been on getting past Marais Viljoen again and his message to his side has been simple.

"I told them that we need to stay positive and play for pride," he said.
