FNB Top 20 - 25 May

The top 11 positions are so tight that even a small adjustment can mean the change of several places. That is tough on the team going down a way but equally it means that going up several places carries with it no sureties.

That would be the case with Affies whose recent defeats have required an adjustment to their position but it was hard to have others make way for them.

After all Paul Roos, Paarl boys’ High and St Andrew’s did not deserve to drop, as they all had good wins, especially Paarl Boys’ High who had a good win over Boland Landbou.

Diamantveld, Florida, Maritzburg College and Drostdy have all gone up a notch.

This week we welcome Dr EG Jansen, of Boksburg, into the FNB Top 20

Teams knocking on the door this week are Die Brandwag of Uitenhage, Nelspruit, Eldoraigne, who had a big win, Sentraal of Bloemfontein, Oakdale who had their first win over Outeniqua in several years and Queen’s. Then there is Ben Vorster who have not played as much as others.
