George High captain: Deveron Lindoor

George High captain Deveron Lindoor expects a physical, yet exciting, game when his side travels to face Pacaltsdorp.

The 18-year-old has been part of the first XV for two years and his performances were rewarded when he participated in the 2014 Craven Week.

"I enjoyed myself a lot (at the Craven Week) and made new friends. I also became a better rugby player," he said.

The matriculant was ecstatic when he was named captain of the side as he feels it’s been his greatest achievement thus far. Lindoor likes to lead from the front by example.

The versatile forward can play in any of the loose trio positions and, as most players, prefers playing a physical game.

"I am very physical and play towards the ball," he stated.

George High has had a mixed bag season but Lindoor feels optimistic about the upcoming game.

"I am very excited about this weekend's game. The team is very experienced and ready to fire on all cylinders," he added.

George High have had the better of Pacaltsdorp recently and Lindoor will be hoping his charges are up for a physical match in order to keep the winning streak alive.

"I expect a very physical contest, one for the ages, because they (Pacaltsdorp) will have something to prove," he said.
