Glenwood captain - Kevin du Randt
Kevin du Randt is looking to his team to bounce back after some tough losses in their FNB Classic Clash against cross-Berea rivals, DHS.
Glenwood have had a great start to the season but fumbled in the last two games, Du Randt admits that these losses were due to poor performances from them.
Du Randt is looking for his team to not only beat their rivals DHS on the weekend but to perform to their best.
"For us it is not simply about winning or losing, we want to perform well evey time. We owe it to ourselves," the 1.90m, 95kg lock said.
"We lost out last two games and we want to use the DHS game as a way to prove to ourselves that we are a good team.
"We have used this as motivation."
Du Randt has come far since his rugby career started, his inclusion in the Grant Khomo week was a highlight for him.
"I gained a lot of confidence there [at Grant Khomo week] I came back realising I was good enough to play at a high level," he added.
"I have really worked out on my line-out jumping in the last year, my work rate has also shot up in my second year with the first team."
The Glenwood – DHS derby has recently been dominated by the green side of the Berea, but Du Randt knows that it will not be an easy match.
"It is going to be a tough game, we are not taking it lightly at all," the captain said about the FNB Classic Clash.
"We have trained really well and are prepared for this big match."
