Goudveld captain - Michael Herbert
It has been three years since Goudveld managed to overcome Welkom Gim but Michael Herbert is hoping that this year will be different after such a good season.
Goudveld have clearly improved since last year with this season being one of there more successful, but the season can only truly be defined after they get through their Classic Clash with Welkom Gim.
Captain Herbert, recently returned from the Craven Week in Middelburg, is hoping that he can lead his team to victory on Saturday.
"I truly believe in myself and my team," the No.6 flank said ahead of their game.
"It will be my job to motivate the boys and get them going, I know what they are all about and I know their abilities."
Herbert describes the match with Welkom Gim as 'going to war' – knowing that his opponents will be lying in wait.
"We are expecting a very tough game, we know they are waiting for us," he added.
"It is like we are going to war, but that only means that we can not stand back for anyone.
"We have to believe in ourselves and understand we are the best in our positions – from prop to full back we need to dominate."
Herbert is clearly quite an athletic flank if you look back at his previous accolades.
The Goudveld captain was selected to tour Argentina in a Bokkies Sevens team and he rates that as one of his best experiences.
"Being the ambassador for your country, and your province in Craven Week, is an amazing experience – I learnt a whole lot from it," he concluded.
