HTS Sasolburg - Heinrich van Tonder

HTS Sasolburg skipper Heinrich van Tonder will lead out a full strength side against local rivals Hoerskool Sasolburg in their FNB Classic Clash on Saturday.

The combative hooker is no stranger to the pressures of a Sasolburg derby, having played in the first team last year as well, and he is expecting another fierce test this weekend.

Van Tonder says that leading the HTS Saolburg side this year is the highlght of his rugby career and something he will remember for the rest of his life so far as it is such a good team.

"I try to be a good leader on and off the field, my greatest strength as a captain is my ability to motivate my team," he said.

HTS Sasolburg take some good form into this clash, which has their captain in a confident mood.

"It has been an outstanding season but it is not finished yet. We have an experienced side at full strength, history will be made on Saturday," he said.

Van Tonder says that the key for his side will be to expect anything and remain calm no matter what their rivals throw at them.

"We have to play this one like any other game, then we will come out on top," he explained.
