Itembelihle captain - Khanyiso Pini

On Friday afternoon at New Brighton Oval in Port Elizabeth Itembelihle Comprehensive School play against archrivals Ndzondelelo in an FNB Classic Clash, and the Itembelihle captain is Khanyiso Pini.

Khanyiso Pini will be playing in the third of these clashes between the two schools but in the first one, in 2012, he played for Ndzondelelo. Last year he captained Itembelihle from inside centre.

Khanyiso is excited about the prospect and says: "I am looking forward to my first victory in three attempts."

In 2012, when he played for Ndzondelelo, Itembelihle won and in 2013, when he played for Itembelihle, Ndzondelelo won – which may not have an effect on the outcome of this match. He says of his side and this match: "We have a very balanced team this year, and if we stick to the basics, and carry out our game plan as practiced, we will definitely end up on the winning side.

"The forwards will have to lay the platform, as that is where our opponents are very strong, and once we have taken control there the backs can get into the game!

"I expect a tough encounter, for the winner here will be crowned as the King of the Townships!"
