Ndzondelelo captain - Sipho Magawu

On Friday afternoon at New Brighton Oval, Ndzondelelo High School of Zwide Township play archrivals Itembelihle Comprehensive School of Zwide Township in an FNB Classic Clash, a match which will decide who rules the township. Siphosihle Magawu has the responsibility of captaining Ndzondelelo.

This will be his third such FNB Classic Clash. In 2012 Itembelihle won 2013, their eight successive win but in 2013 Ndzondelelo upset the apple cart when they won 14-13. Magawu has high hopes for this year's match.

Magawu was born in Port Elizabeth on 5 March 1996. He went to Bluewater Bay Primary and then to Royal Academy High School before going on to Ndzondelelo High Schools where he is in Grade 12.

Magawu plays flank ands, unsurprisingly, his hero is Willem Alberts of the Sharks who is bigger than his 1,80m and 83kg. But he loves rugby and dreams of being a Springbok one day though his aim this year is to get into an Eastern Province, team at Craven Week or the Academy Week and his aim this week is to beat Itembelihle.

Magawu says: "We have trained hard for this match; this will be my 3rd Derby match vs. Itembelihle but looks like the 1st. They are a difficult team to beat but I don't see them beating us tomorrow."
