New Orleans captain: Jade Adams

Jade Adams says that being named captain of New Orleans this year has been the high-point of his rugby thus far.

The 1.72 metre, 85 kilogram flank is in Matric and his second year in the New Orleans first team, with plans to study and further his rugby career next year.

This weekend he will lead his side out against Paarl rivals Klein Nedeberg in what should be a fierce FNB Classic Clash.

The New Orleans skipper is a firm believer in putting the hard yards in, and expects nothing less from his side this weekend.

"I believe that hard work brings success, it will be a tough game this weekend – they will do everything they can to beat us," he said.

Adams' message to his side this weekend has been to 'stay positive and enjoy the game', but he will also be urging them on to get the better of the rivals.

"My strengths as captain are to sum the game up and motivate my players, we have had a few injuries this year but we are backing ourselves," he said.
