Oakdale dominate rugby week at home

In their game against Kemptonpark on Day one, the hosts ran in eight tries and cruised to a comfortable 50-7 win.

In one of the more closely contested match-ups of the day, Windhoek Gim edge Die Brandwag with a narrow 21-19 win. Die Brandwag scored three tries but their ill-discipline kept Windhoek in the game who made used of flyhalf Denzo Bruwer's boot kept his side score ticking.

On Day two, Hugenote could not recover from their defeat against Voortrekker Beth. The Wellington side went down again, this time 12-26 against Kemptonpark, who made up for their dismal first-day performance.

On Day three, Windhoek Gim made sure their record their second successive victory when they handed Diamantveld a 43-17 defeat. 

The backline player of the tournament award was handed to Welkom-Gimnasium fullback Andrew Kota. While Oakdale flank Le Roux Pepler was named the forward of the tournament.

The hosts also received the team of the tournament trophy.
