Oakdale win in George
It was never going to be a runaway win but for Oakdale it was a solid victory on a good day in wet George.
Oakdale travelled the hundred or so kilometres from Riversdale to George and played 15 matches against the strongest rivals in South Western Districts. The Bulle of Oakdale won 11 of the matches to the Kwaggas' four, the 6th XV match and the three Under-14 matches.
Outeniqua seemed about to win a great victory when the got to half-time leading 17-9 but the second half the Oakdale forwards took over and deprived the Outeniqua backs, so brilliant in the first half, of the ball.
In the first half eighthman Luvuyo Ndevu and left win Darryle Kameel scored tries for the home side for whom slender Manie Libbok added seven points with the boot. In replay the South Western Districts flyhalf, Christo 'Boeta' Hamman kicked three penalty goals.Early in the second half lock Ewan Coetzee scored the first try and close quarters and then Hiuman scored a try and then succeeded with a dtop.
