Pionier into Pukke 16 Semis
Hoërskool Pionier of Vryheid, a school that travels far for its rugby, will be going over the mountains to Brak[pan this weekend for the semifinals of the Pukke 16 competition.
The semifinals will be played at Hoërskool Stoffberg in Brakpan and Pionier will play Pretoria-Noord. The other semifinal will be between Stoffberg and Oosterland of Secunda.
The teams for the Pukke 16 are divided into two groups who fought it out for a place in the semifinals.
Group A: Stoffberg, Pretoria-Noord, Delmas, Oosterland
Group B: Volksrust, Pionier, Ferrum, Piet Retief
The final is on 18 April 2015 in Potchefstroom.
It will be Pionier's sixth match this season, and they have done well. Their outstanding achievement was drawing with Kearsney College who beat Glenwood on Saturday.
