"I always try to get through as much work as possible so that at the end of the match, win or lose, I know I couldn't have done more."

Just like their rivals Bishops, Rondebosch have has a slow start to their season but are starting to gain some momentum.

"We had a rocky start but recently we ran both Paul Roos and Paarl Boishaai close and we are starting to gain some momentum," he added.

Like a lot of rugby teams in Super Rugby, Rondebosch have had to deal with a couple injuries, but unlike a lot of Super Rugby coaches Waddilove is not making excuses!

"It's an even mix of Matrics and Grade 11s," the captain remarked.

"A couple of key players were ruled out early on in the season, but all teams have to deal with injuries and we are not making any excuses."

The enigma that is the Bishops running game has spread across the suburb and Waddilove is aware, as well as prepared, for it.

"Bishops always likes to run with the ball from everywhere, but they have a heavy pack of forwards this year.
