School Rankings - June 8

OPINION: From this week, we will be publishing only our Top 30 rankings until the end of the season.

Our final official rankings will feature the Top 50 schools.

Once again, the weekend was filled with excitement and surprises.

No change there!

In the Western Cape, the ‘Maroon Machine’ made a strong case for the No.3 spot with a convincing win over Stellenberg.

Meanwhile, the ‘Wit Bulle’ from Riversdale sent a clear message to the top five contenders with a commanding 50-7 victory over Outeniqua.

They’re determined to finish the season strong and push for a top-five ranking.

The surprise of the weekend came from KES, who pulled off a remarkable victory over Helpmekaar.

This is a huge achievement for KES, especially considering their challenging season – including a record 0-102 loss to Paarl Gim.

But they’re steadily climbing back up the rankings.

Welcome to the Top 30, KES!

North of the Vaal River, we must mention the real ‘Wit Bulle’ from Krugersdorp.

Monnas are back!

Their impressive win over a strong Transvalia team shows they’re on the rebound.

Let’s hope they finish the season well. The South African schoolboy game is stronger with a competitive Monnas side.

As Craven Week and school exams approach, we wish all the boys a healthy and injury-free conclusion to their school rugby careers. Study hard, stay healthy-after all, “a healthy body produces a healthy mind.”

The next rankings will be released on 15 June.
