Schoonies vs Wollies in Classic Clash
Hoërskool Schoonspruit of Klerksdorp play Hoërskool Wolmaransstad in an FNB Classic Clash on Saturday, 17 May 2014 in Klerksdorp.
Both teams have been battling this year. Wollies lost their last match to Hoërskool Vryburg 78-3. The two schools had met before that when Vryburg won 84-18. In 2013 Wollies beat Vryburg 19-0 and then beat Schoonspruit twice – 25-12 and 29-9.
This year when it's Wollies tour to head north the 80km to Klerksdorp should be a chance for Schoonies to put the record straight. After all Wollies have now won the match in successive years after a long Schoonies hegemony.
Wollies have just two players back from the victorious 2013 team – flyhalf Tiaan van Zyl, who was then a fullback and prop Jürghen Dupper. The other prop, Lesedi Senunuhi, was on the bench last year.
