Stellies visit Tiere

The two schools have a fierce competition, however giving Tygerberg's and Stellenberg's current form it seems they are playing in two different leagues.

The visitors Stellies head into this encounter as clear favorites, especially with the remarkable season they have had. Ever since their historic 43-38 win over Outeniqua in May, the side have been climbing the SA Schools Top 20 ranking.

Fresh from a 41-11 win over Brackenfell, Stellies have leapfrogged two places from 17 to 15.

The Tiere, on the other hand, had failed to get that momentum which pupils and old Tiere have come accustomed to over the years.

They managed to beat Hugenote from Wellington back in March, but have not recorded historic victories to claim a spot in the Top 20.

Nonetheless, the inform Stellies know that a wounded animal is never to be trusted, and come Saturday the Tiere might pull off a surprise victory.

And with old Tier Eben Etsebeth leading the Springboks down in Port Elizabeth, there are more than enough motivation for Tygerberg to at least build confidence, before they head to Brackenfell next week.
