Top 20 - June 4
There are schools not playing much at present because of exams or because of preparations for Craven Week. This has made adjustments to the Top 20 more difficult.
The top 12 in the Top 20 remain unchanged. Those most considered for promotion were Dr EG Jansen of Boksburg who are having a wonderful season, Paarl Boys' High who beat SACS 29-5 and Monnas, the only team in the top group to beat another Top 20 team when they beat Glenwood. But in the end we left the top 12 as they were.
St Andrew's, beaten by Grey PE last week, lost to Queen's this week and have been dropped. Glenwood also lost but by six points to a team above them and they stay where they are. Marlow on the other hand performed miracles to beat Framesby, a team on the fringe of the Top 20, and for that reason the Wolramme rise.
Up from just under the Top 20 are Kearsney who have lost only to Paarl Gim and have beaten Framesby and Glenwood and have won their last four matches by huge margins. Noord-Kaap seem to be resting and Pretoria Boys high drew with KES, though KES may just be coming into their own after a rickety start.
Centurion are back on the ladder, just ahead of Transvalia.
