For the sixth successive year, Western Province won the main match on the final day of the Under-13 Craven Week played at Hoërskool Diamantveld. They were the only unbeaten team at the tournament.

Coming out on top was not easy – not against neighbours Boland. Half-time broke at 0-0. In the second half a penalty goal and then a try gave Province an 8-0 lead. Boland scored their try just before the end. The score was close, but then so was the run of play and both teams ran but ran into determined defence. The 12 points scored is the lowest of any match at the week.

Scorers

For Western Province:
Try: Ryan Jack (prop)

The match between Valke and Limpopo was even closer – a 7-all draw. Marno Jacobs, the Limpopo fullback, scored and converted his side’s try while wing Ashwill Macdonald scored Valke’s try and flyhalf Jordan Harvey converted it.

Another close match was Namibia vs Border Country Districts. For Namibia prop Ben Burger scored the try and flyhalf Marius Meyer kicked the penalty goal.
