Vryburg dethrone Pionier as Puk 16 champs

The new champions took the lead of 22-5 at the break.

Scrumhalf Johan Esterhuizen, center Johan Pelser and fullback Kobus Vermaak were some of the names that stood out during the match, while JW Lazenby and No.8 Jonan van der Berg were the forwards who added to Vryburg success.  

Wing Gert Jonker contributed to his team victory with two tries.

Two additional finals was contested on the day, Under-16 and Under-15.

The Under-16 final saw Hoërskool Pretoria-Noord take on Hoërskool Fochville from Potchefstroom. The men from Pretoria walked away with a 53-33 victory.

While the Under-15 final was contested between Hoërskool Pretoria-Noord and Hoërskool Bekker, Pretoria-Noord were again the winners with a score of 33-5.
