Jim Hamilton omits Welsh captain in his B&I Lions XV

Former Scotland international Jim Hamilton has picked a British and Irish Lions XV he believes will beat the Springboks in 2021 and it excludes Welsh captain Alun Wyn Jones.

Instead, Hamilton has opted for the youthful lock pairing of England’s Maro Itoje and Ireland’s James Ryan.

His Lions XV features nine England internationals, three from Ireland, two Scots and a Welshman.
