AUDIO: Fourie laments Boland's discipline following dramatic loss
LISTEN as Boland Cavaliers head coach Hawies Fourie speak about his side’s ill-discipline after their dramatic last-minute loss to the Sharks.
The Cavaliers will be kicking themselves after it appeared that James Tedder won them the match with just under two minutes to go.
The visitors had an attacking scrum, and poor game management led to the Sharks reclaiming possession and working themselves into the Boland half.
The Sharks won a late penalty with the clock in the red, which Siya Masuku slotted to seal the Durbanietes’ second win of the season.
Fourie stated that the result had put a dent in their play-off ambitions and hammered on his side’s ill-discipline, which has been an issue throughout the season.

“Two log points is sort of the minimum we needed tonight [Saturday], but we are still not in a semifinal.
“We can still miss out. Next week [against Western Province], there will be a lot at stake for the five teams fighting for the semifinal spots.
“We will need to have a very good training week to ensure we start better and execute well.”
Fourie added: “Our main thing with our lacklustre start is the amount of penalties we conceded early in the game.
“We conceded five penalties before one went our way, and we conceded a yellow card in the process as well.
“We have to be more clinical. One tends to concede penalties when you’re under pressure, but some of them were soft [penalties] in my opinion from our side. We need to make a big step up regarding that.”
