Bok to captain Lions in Currie Cup Final

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The Lions named a powerful side to face Griquas in the Currie Cup Final at Ellis Park and named a Springbok as their captain.

Fullback Quan Horn takes over the captain’s armband from the injured PJ Botha, with fellow Bok Asenathi Ntlabakanye his deputy.

Franco Marais makes a return from injury and starts at hooker in place of the injured Botha, with Morne Brandon remaining on the bench.

Junior Bok sensation Hashim Pead also retained his place on the bench, with the rest of the matchday squad remaining unchanged from the one that defeated Boland last week.
