Final rematch kicks off Currie Cup
SPOTLIGHT: The 2025 edition of the Currie Cup will kick-off with a rematch of this year’s SA Cup Final when the Pumas host Griquas in Nelspruit on Friday, July 25.
On Saturday, July 26, there will be another Final rematch when the Lions host the defending champion Sharks at Ellis Park, who dramatically clinched the title last season.
Arch-rivals Western Province will take on the Bulls in Cape Town to wrap up Saturday’s action.
On Sunday, July 27, Boland Cavaliers will make their first Currie Cup appearance since 2016 after qualifying through the SA Cup competition.
They will face a side they’ve built a bit of a rivalry with lately in the Cheetahs at the Boland Stadium.
