Cheetahs scrape the barrel for Sharks clash

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Rudy Paige will lead a new-look Free State Cheetahs team when they take on the Sharks in a Currie Cup Round Three clash in Bloemfontein on Saturday,

With Pro14 clashing with Currie Cup, a number of players will be making their Currie Cup debuts for the Cheetahs on Saturday.

They include Adriaan Carelse (fullback) and Louis Conradie (lock) who will both be starting, while Jannes Snyman, Luigi van Jaarsveld and Abogile Nonkontwana will make their debuts when they run onto the field off the bench.

Louis Fouche, Dennis Visser and Gunther Janse van Vuuren are the only three players that keep their places in the starting XV from the team that lost 0-32 to Western Province in Round Two.

The Cheetahs started their Currie Cup campaign with a 12-34 loss to the Blue Bulls in Round One.
